We have officially opened the doors to our new vocational learning centre at Whittaker Street, which will provide a fantastic new facility for key stage four pupils at Ash Grove.
The centre is equipped to teach:
- Hospitality – a full size industrial catering kitchen, along with serving hatch, have been built so that students can put their learning into practice.
- Sport and leisure – taught in a fully equipped gym.
- Hair and beauty – delivered in a hair and beauty salon.
- Construction – students have access to shop floor tools and machinery, such as lathes and work benches.
We are delighted with the centre and feel that students are going to thrive here, particularly those who struggle with a more formal learning environment.
